Stuffed French Toast
This Stuffed French Toast is a twist on a classic breakfast favorite. It has a creamy strawberry filling that’s sandwiched between thick slices of egg-soaked Texas toast and cooked until crispy and golden.
It’s then topped with a fresh strawberry topping that everyone loves! The French Toast is ideal for a weekend breakfast, feeding a crowd, and serving for brunch.
We love French Toast like our Overnight French Toast and our Easy French Toast with Blueberry Sauce. But this Stuffed French Toast takes those recipes to the next level!
How do you make French toast not soggy?
Soggy French Toast is the worst! The secret to making it not soggy is to use thicker slices of bread, like Texas Toast. You can also use our One-Hour French Bread recipe to make your own bread and cut it into thick slices. If the bread is too thin, it will soak up too much of the egg mixture, and then you are left with soggy french toast.
How do you know when French toast is done?
When cooking the bread on the griddle, cook one side for 2-3 minutes, and then flip to the other side. The French Toast is done when each side is golden brown and slightly crispy.
What temperature should you cook French toast at?
We have found the best temperature to cook Stuffed French Toast is 350 degrees. This is a medium-high heat that allows you to get those golden brown crispy pieces without burning the bread.
How to make Stuffed French Toast recipe:

STEP FOUR: Spread the cream cheese mixture onto two slices of bread and make a sandwich with them. Dip the bread into the egg mixture on both sides.
