Frozen Croissant Breakfast Sandwich Recipe Tips
I love having an easy breakfast I can pull out of the freezer on busy mornings like these Copycat Costco Premade Smoothie Packs and Ninja Creami Acai Bowls. It’s why I created this recipe. Now I’m sharing my top tips, learned along the way, for these make-ahead breakfast sandwiches.
Use pre-cooked bacon. It saves time and helps the process go so much faster.
Wrap tightly. Make sure each sandwich is well wrapped. This helps to prevent freezer burn and keep them tasting fresh.
Label your freezer bag. My famous last words are, “I’ll remember!” And then life happens, and I don’t remember when I put them in the freezer. These will stay fresh in the freezer for about 2-3 months.
Make a double batch. Since you’re already doing meal prep with this recipe, it’s easy to double it, leaving you with a well-stocked freezer and a family-friendly breakfast sandwich.
Ingredients & Estimated Cost:
Here are the simple ingredients you need to make these sandwiches, along with a few substitution recommendations.

- Croissants (8 – $4.98) – You could also use English muffins, bagels, or biscuits as a substitute.
- Cooked Bacon (16 slices – $6.48) – I use the precooked bacon from Costco.
- Cheddar cheese (8 slices – $1.44) – Use your favorite cheese variety, such as American, pepper jack, or Swiss.
- Eggs (16 – $3.32) – Buy your eggs in bulk to get a better price per egg.
- Salt (½ teaspoon – $0.01) – Kosher salt or sea salt will work.
- Pepper (½ teaspoon – $0.01) – I prefer freshly cracked, but ground pepper will also work.
- Salted butter (⅓ cup – $0.83) – Be sure to use softened butter so it will spread more easily. Real butter is best.
The recipe cost is calculated based on the amounts needed and may vary due to fluctuating grocery costs.

Cook the eggs, assemble the sandwiches, freeze, and then bake. Let me show you how.
- Whisk together the eggs, salt, and pepper.

- Slice the croissants in half and spread the butter on the bottom of the tops.

- Layer the eggs, a slice of cheese, and bacon on the bottom half of the croissant.

- Top with the croissant’s top.

- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees, unwrap the sandwiches, place them on a baking sheet, and cook for 15 minutes before serving.

Recipe FAQs
I prefer to bake them in the oven to get them nice and toasty. A toaster oven or an air fryer would also work. However, you can warm them in the microwave, just note that the croissants will have a softer texture.
These will stay fresh for up to three months in the freezer.
Sure. Ham, breakfast sausage patties, or turkey bacon would all be delicious substitutes.
