Instructions
- First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Then, line the baking sheets with silicone baking mats or parchment paper.
- Next, make the batter in a large bowl. Fold in the chocolate chips when the batter is ready.

- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar packed
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs room temperature
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 12- ounce bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
PREP OVEN AND BAKING SHEETS:
- Move the oven rack to the upper-middle and lower-middle positions. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Line baking sheets with silicone baking mats or parchment paper.
MIX BATTER:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add eggs and vanilla and mix until well combined.
- Gradually add in flour mixture and mix until combined. Don’t overmix.
- Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
SCOOP BATTER:
- Scoop batter using a 1 ½ Tablespoon cookie dough scoop and place on the prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
BAKE:
- Bake for 8-10 minutes for soft cookies, longer for crispy. Rotate the pans halfway through baking.
COOL AND SERVE:
- Remove the pans from the oven and place them on wire racks to cool for 5 minutes, and then transfer cookies to the wire racks to cool.
- Serve warm or cooled to room temperature.
