I’ve always enjoyed Sonic’s slushes, especially in the hot weather! I sure wasn’t aware you could purchase of a bag of Sonic’s ice, though? I’ll sure have to look into buying a bag! Going to Sonic is a real treat for me! Especially, when I travel back to AR for a good visit with my son.
Jess Jankowski says
Yes go buy the Sonic ice; you won’t regret it!
Linda P says
Sorry I’m not the best cook in the world. What is the the powdered drink mix and where would I buy it. I’m going to be with my great nieces and nephews and would love to make them.
Jess Jankowski says
Hi Linda, you can use any powdered drink mix you like. We use Kool-aid packets.
Seriously Stressed says
I don’t think my recipe calculated correctly. It says 2 packets of drink mix but only .44 cups of sugar. If 2 drink mix packets generally call for 1 cup of sugar EACH, won’t the mixture be extremely bitter as it will be sorely missing 1&1/2 cups of sweetness? Maybe I’m just not seeing something clearly. Can you please clarify the recipe for me?
Jess Jankowski says
Hello, thanks for stopping by and asking a question about our recipe. Because we are not making a traditional liquid drink with the drink powder, we do not need as much sugar because we are not using as much water in the recipe.
