These White Chocolate Dipped Oreos are all dressed up for Valentine's Day. They're easy to make and customizable for any holiday or celebration. via @easybudgetrecipes

These White Chocolate Dipped Oreos are all dressed up for Valentine’s Day. They’re easy to make and customizable for any holiday or celebration.

For about $6.36 and three ingredients, you can make 48 chocolate-dipped Oreo cookies, which works out to $0.14 per cookie!

We all know everything is better with chocolate and these Chocolate Covered Oreos are no exception. For more goodies covered in chocolate, we recommend our Crockpot Candy and our Chocolate Peanut Butter Bon Bons.

White Chocolate Dipped Oreos

Oreos are delicious sandwich cookies all on their own. However, dip them in chocolate to give them a thin outer shell with a crunchy center, and they are now next-level delicious!

These treats can be expensive when you buy them at the store. It is even more crazy to buy them at the store after realizing just how easy they are to make.

A no-bake dessert that requires a couple of ingredients and minimal effort. This is a win-win any way you look at it.

Chocolate Covered Oreos are the perfect treat for Valentine’s Day. Treat your loved ones to this treat, and they will be thrilled! We also love boxing these up to give away to teachers, neighbors, and friends for Valentine’s Day.

But if you use white chocolate to cover the Oreos, you can really make them any color you want. Top them with any decorative sprinkles, and now you have an easy treat for any holiday, party, after-school snack, gifting to neighbors, or just because it is a Monday! When will you make them?

How long do chocolate dipped Oreos last?

Store in the fridge or at room temperature, in an airtight container, for up to two weeks. If your family is like ours, the cookies will likely not last that long! They are too good to resist!

How do you decorate dipped Oreos?

Using your favorite sprinkles, you can lightly sprinkle each Oreo after dipping the Oreo into the chocolate and placing it on the baking sheet. Sprinkle the sprinkles on before the chocolate hardens. You can also drizzle melted chocolate onto the Oreo after dipping it into the chocolate if you feel extra fancy.

Can you substitute chocolate chips for melting chocolate?

In a pinch, you can use chocolate chips instead of melting chocolate. However, we do not recommend it as chocolate chips will create a thicker shell when dipping the Oreos versus the Almond Bark or chocolate melting wafers. Chocolate chips will also not leave a smooth finish as the Almond Bark will, so the dipped Oreos will not look as pretty.

How to make White Chocolate Dipped Oreos recipe:

STEP ONE:  First, following the package directions, heat the chocolate almond bark. Then open the package of Oreos.

STEP TWO: Next, dip the Oreos into the chocolate, one at a time. Allow any extra chocolate to drip back into the bowl.

STEP THREE: Finally, place the dipped Oreos on a sheet pan lined with parchment or wax paper to set. Add sprinkles before the chocolate hardens.

The Flavor and Recipe Variations

You can use vanilla or chocolate almond bark. If you can’t find almond bark in the grocery store (sometimes called “coating chocolate”), you can also use chocolate melting wafers.

If you are using white chocolate, you can use any color food coloring gel to match the holiday or occasion. The same goes for the sprinkles and the actual Oreos themselves!

How much will this White Chocolate Dipped Oreos recipe cost to make:

RECIPE COST: $6.36

PRICE PER SERVING: $0.14

  • 1 package Oreo cookies – $3.18
  • 1 package white chocolate almond bark – $2.77
  • Valentine sprinkles – $0.41

How long is it good for:

Serve: Allow the Oreos to set fully before transferring them to an airtight container.

Store: Store in the fridge or at room temperature for up to two weeks.

Freeze: We do not recommend freezing these cookies as the chocolate will not look as nice when they defrost.

How to get the kids involved with this recipe:

Ages 2-3: Have your little one help pour on the sprinkles. They will love helping to decorate the cookies.

Ages 4-5: Your child can help with mixing the melted chocolate. Of course, they can help with the sprinkles too!

Ages 6-8: Teach your child how to dip the Oreos and place them on the baking sheet. He/she can also then sprinkle each cookie with the desired sprinkles.

Ages 9-11: Supervise them while they prepare the entire recipe. Remember to have them read it twice before beginning the recipe.

Ages 12+: Let them prepare the entire recipe, unsupervised, while you do the happy dance in the corner!
