- You can make the recipe ahead of time by cooking the crust and prepping all the toppings up to 24 hours in advance.
Recipe Variations
- Substitute my Instant Pot Shredded Chicken for the ground beef.
- Sometimes, I like to add some more flavor to the pizza by adding a can of drained chopped green chile and chopped cilantro to the sour cream and cream cheese mixture.
- You can turn this into a round pizza by forming the dough into a ball and then rolling it out into a 10-12-inch circle.

Yes, if you have extra time, you can substitute homemade pizza dough for the crescent pizza roll. I recommend my 1-Hour Pizza Dough for an easy substitution.
Storage Tips
SERVE: The taco pizza will stay at room temperature for 2 hours.
STORE: Leftovers will stay fresh wrapped in foil for up to 24 hours. After that, the crust starts to get really soggy.
FREEZE: Because of all the fresh toppings and dairy, we do not recommend freezing this recipe. A word of caution: This recipe makes 2 pizzas and serves at least 8 people. So, it might be best for you to make 1 pizza and then serve it with a bunch of sides so you don’t have a ton of leftovers.
