Instructions
- First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Then, line the baking sheets with parchment paper.

Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs room temperature
- 2 Tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
COATING:
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions
PREP OVEN AND BAKING SHEETS:
- Move the oven rack to the upper-middle and lower-middle positions. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Line baking sheets with silicone baking mats or parchment paper.
MAKE COOKIE DOUGH:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and 1 ½ cup sugar until fluffy and lightened in color.
- Add eggs, milk, and vanilla extract and beat until smooth.
- Gradually add the flour mixture and combine until no flour streaks remain.
MAKE COATING:
- In a small bowl whisk together ¼ cup sugar and cinnamon.
ROLL COOKIE DOUGH:
- Scoop cookie dough using a cookie dough scoop or tablespoon and roll dough into balls.
- Roll the dough in the sugar and cinnamon coating and place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheets.
BAKE AND COOL:
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the cookies are slightly set in the center for a soft cookie, or longer if you want more of a crisp cookie.
- Remove the baking sheets from the oven and cool on wire racks for 5 minutes. Then, remove the cookies from the baking sheets and cool completely on wire racks.
