The Flavor and Recipe Variations:

Our snack mix is an easy recipe to add some substitutions to change things up or use what you have on hand. You can add items such as nuts, Chex, popcorn, candy corn, Cheezits, Cheerios, Reeses Pieces, or even some raisins.

How long is it good for:

Serve: like placing the mix in a Halloween Bowl for serving. If we’re gifting or Booing someone, we like to place the mix in clear plastic bags with a gift tag.

Store: Store the mix in an airtight container or bag for up to 7 days.

Freeze: Different candy ingredients in this mix don’t freeze and defrost well. Therefor, we do not suggest freezing this Halloween Mix.

How to get the kids involved with this recipe:

Ages 2-3: This is such a fun recipe to have your little ones help with. They will love pouring in all of the ingredients, especially the candy eyes!

Ages 4-5: This is a great one to practice counting skills to measure out the pretzels and bugles. They can also help measure and pour the remaining ingredients.

Ages 6-8: Let your kiddo try to make this on their own with your supervision.

Ages 9-11: Supervise them while they prepare the entire recipe. Remember to have them read it twice before beginning the recipe.

Ages 12+: Let them prepare the entire recipe, unsupervised, while you do the happy dance in the corner!
