Cooking Tips:
- This is a great recipe to get your kids involved with. They can help pre-measure ingredients, mix, and learn to use a can opener to open the cans.
- Since the sauce comes together quickly, aim for “al dente” pasta (cooked but still slightly firm to the bite). This will prevent it from becoming mushy in the final dish.
- The starchy pasta water can be a lifesaver for adjusting the consistency of your sauce. If the sauce seems too thick, add a splash or two of pasta water to thin it out.
Recipe Variations
- If you have some extra time, making my homemade alfredo sauce for this recipe elevates the dish to another level!
- You could easily substitute the chicken with shrimp, although please be aware that this will affect the cost of the recipe.
- Adding some broccoli with the parmesan cheese is also a great variation in the recipe.

Sounds good, I’m assuming the Chicken gets mixed in with the sauce before pouring over pasta? Also the cost of the recipes is only dependent on where you buy your groceries.
