Ingredients

  • 2 pounds pizza dough homemade or store-bought
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat the grill to high heat.
  • Divide the dough in half and roll and stretch each dough into a round shape, about ¼ inch thick.
  • Place the dough rounds directly onto a preheated grill with oiled grates, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until lightly charred and crisp.
  • Remove the pizza crusts from the grill and place them on baking sheets or pizza peels.
  • Spread pizza sauce onto the crusts, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Sprinkle about 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  • Add desired toppings.
  • Add the remaining mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese to the pizzas.
  • Return the pizzas to the grill, close the lid, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the toppings are lightly browned.
  • Remove the pizzas from the grill and let them cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
