- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ cups buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 4 Tablespoons butter melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

MAKE THE BATTER:
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate smaller bowl, beat together the buttermilk, eggs, butter, and vanilla. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined—don’t overdo it!
SPOON AND TOP THE BATTER:
- Be careful not to overmix the batter—it can make them tough instead of light and fluffy.
