The BEST Breakfast Sliders

These Hawaiian roll breakfast sliders are a great make-ahead option for a hearty breakfast the following day when you may not have much spare time during your morning routine.

INGREDIENTS

– 12 Hawaiian rolls – 6 slices cheddar cheese – 12 eggs scrambled – 12 ounces breakfast sausage  – 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese – ¾ cup maple syrup divided – 4 Tablespoons butter  – ¾ teaspoon poppyseeds

Cut the Hawaiian rolls in half long ways. Place the bottom of the rolls in a 9×13 cookie sheet or baking dish.

Layer the sliced cheese, eggs, sausage, and shredded cheese.

Place the tops of the rolls on top to make the slider. Cut the butter into small cubes and place in a small bowl. Melt the butter in the microwave for 10-second increments.

Add ¼ cup of maple syrup to 3 tablespoons of butter. Mix until combined. Baste the butter and syrup mixture on top of the sliders with a pastry brush.

Sprinkle the poppy seeds on top. Lightly cover the sliders with aluminum foil. Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese has melted.

Place the remainder of the maple syrup and melted butter in a small bowl for dipping the sandwiches into.
