Pinwheel Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 3 large flour tortillas burrito size works well, any variation is fine **see notes
  • 8 oz cream cheese room temperature
  • 1 Tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 2 ½ tsp of dry ranch dressing mix
  • Romaine lettuce
  • 6 oz thinly sliced deli ham
  • 6 oz thinly sliced deli turkey
  • 6 slices Thinly sliced cheddar cheese colby jack, or american

Instructions

MAKE CREAM CHEESE SPREAD:

  • In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese until soft and creamy.
  • Add mayonnaise and ranch dressing mix and combine well.

ASSEMBLE PINWHEELS:

  • Add cream cheese mixture to tortilla. A small cookie dough scoop works well.
  • Spread the filling out evenly.
  • Add a thin layer of lettuce on the whole tortilla.
  • Layer the ham, turkey and cheese, adding it to one side of the tortilla. This makes rolling easier.
  • Tightly roll tortilla.
  • Wrap in plastic wrap.
  • Repeat with remaining tortillas and fillings.

CHILL:

  • Chill the pinwheels for at least 30 minutes.

TO FINISH:

  • Slice into pieces about ½ inch thick, you should get about 8 slices from each tortilla.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
  • These should be served the same day for best results.

Notes

Serving size for appetizer: 2 pinwheels
Serving size for main dish: 5 pinwheels
Tortillas: You can heat the tortillas in the microwave for 10 seconds to make them easier to roll.
