Ghosts in the Graveyard Dessert Parfaits

These Ghosts in the Graveyard Dessert Parfaits are easy Halloween desserts that are just as fun to make as they are to eat! Grab the kids because they'll love making these with you!

Ingredients

PARFAITS:

  • 2 boxes 3.9 oz of instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 2 tubs 8 oz each of Cool Whip, thawed - and divided
  • 12 Oreo Cookies crushed into crumbs

DECORATIONS:

  • 6 Milano cookies
  • 6 Chocolate-covered graham crackers
  • 6 Gummy worms
  • 3 ozs Chocolate Almond Bark - to make trees
  • 12 candy eyeballs
  • Black writing gel
  • White writing gel

Instructions

PREP PARFAITS:

  • In a large bowl, whisk together pudding mix and milk until smooth.
  • Place bowl in the refrigerator to set, about 10 minutes.
  • Remove the pudding from the refrigerator and fold in 1 tub of Cool Whip.
  • Place the pudding mixture back in the refrigerator to chill about 10-15 minutes (longer is fine).
  • Make decorations while the pudding mixture is chilling **instructions below.

MAKE TREES:

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Add 3 blocks of Almond Bark to a microwave safe bowl.
  • Heat the almond bark in the microwave for 1 minute, remove and stir.
  • Continue cooking for 10-20 seconds at a time until the chocolate is almost melted.
  • Stir until completely melted and smooth.
  • Transfer the chocolate to a plastic decorator bag or resealable bag and snip off a very small amount of the end of the bag.
  • Create trees by piping melted chocolate onto parchment paper.
  • Let the chocolate trees set for 10-15 minutes until they have hardened.

MAKE TOMBSTONES:

  • Write years and/or RIP on Milano cookies and chocolate-covered graham crackers.

TO FINISH:

  • Divide the pudding mixture between the parfait dishes.
  • Add the Oreo crumbs on top of each parfait cup.
  • Add decorations to the parfait cups.
  • Add gummy worms.
  • Transfer Cool Whip to a plastic decorator bag or resealable bag and snip off a small amount of the end of the bag.
  • Pipe swirled mounds of Cool Whip onto to the parfaits to resemble ghosts.
  • Add candy eyeballs to the ghosts.
  • Refrigerate until you’re ready to serve the parfaits.

Notes

You’ll only be using a small amount of the second container of Cool Whip for decorating the parfaits.
