Ultra Creamy Hummus

Equipment

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup tahini
  • 2 Tablespoons water
  • 2 Tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 large clove garlic minced
  • 15 ounce can chickpeas
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

GARNISHES:

  • Olive oil optional
  • Parsley optional
  • paprika optional

Instructions

  • Add tahini, water, and lemon juice to a food processor. Pulse for 30 seconds.
  • Add garlic and chickpeas and pulse for 30 seconds. The chickpeas will be broken into small pieces.
  • With the food processor running, slowly drizzle olive oil through the feed tube. Let the processor run for 10-20 seconds, or until it is smooth and creamy.
  • Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  • Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and garnish with parsley or paprika (all optional).
  • Serve or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Notes

You can use a high-powered blender instead of a food processor to make this recipe.
