Instant Pot Country Style Ribs

These easy Instant Pot Country Style Ribs are so tender that the meat just falls apart. This recipe uses an inexpensive cut of meat that’s a definite crowd pleaser.

Ingredients

RIBS:

  • 5 pounds country-style ribs
  • 1 ½ Tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 Tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 Tablespoon onion powder
  • ¾ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¾ cup apple juice
  • cup apple cider vinegar
  • ¾ cup beef stock

BBQ SAUCE:

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • ¾ cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 Tablespoons white vinegar

Instructions

PREP RIBS:

  • In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground ginger, salt, and pepper.
  • Add ribs to a large bowl and sprinkle with spices. Rub the spices into the ribs.
  • Pour apple juice and apple cider vinegar over the ribs.
  • Cover and chill for 30-60 minutes.

MAKE BBQ SAUCE & PREP INSTANT POT:

  • While ribs are chilling, whisk the ingredients for the BBQ sauce in a small bowl.
  • Add the wire trivet to the Instant pot, and pour beef stock into the bottom of the Instant Pot.

COOK RIBS:

  • Place the ribs in the Instant Pot and discard the marinade.
  • Pour BBQ sauce over ribs and place lid on Instant Pot and seal.
  • Pressure Cook on High for 40 minutes followed by a Natural release of 15 minutes, and then manually release the remaining pressure.

SERVE:

  • Remove ribs from the Instant Pot.
  • Serve with more BBQ sauce if desired.

Notes

You can use our quick homemade BBQ sauce in this recipe or 1 ¾ cup bottled BBQ sauce.
