Tater Tot Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 medium yellow onion chopped
  • 2 large garlic cloves minced
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 10.75 ounces can condensed cream of celery soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 16 ozs frozen mixed veggies thawed
  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4-5 cups frozen tater tots

Instructions

PREP OVEN AND PAN:

  • Move the oven rack to the middle position and preheat to 375 degrees F.
  • Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Set aside.

MAKE MEAT LAYER:

  • Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, and then drain excess fat.
  • Add the onion and cook until the onions are translucent for about 5 minutes.
  • Add the garlic and cook while constantly stirring, until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Stir in Worcestershire sauce and salt and pepper.

ASSEMBLE CASSEROLE:

  • Transfer ground beef mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  • In a medium bowl, combine condensed soup and sour cream. Spread over the beef mixture, followed by frozen mixed veggies, followed by the cheddar cheese.
  • Finally, top with tater tots.

BAKE AND SERVE:

  • Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until tater tots are golden brown and cheese is melted.
  • Serve immediately.
