- 4 pounds lean ground beef thawed
- 2 cups diced yellow onion
- 4 large eggs lightly beaten
- 1 ½ cups plain bread crumbs
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 Tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons pepper
Move oven rack to the middle position and preheat to 400 degrees, Line 2 rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl add all of the meatball ingredients. Use a wooden spoon or your hands to mix everything together.
Use a 3-Tablespoon scoop to scoop the meatball mixture, and then roll it into a ball with your hands. Place the meatballs on the prepared baking sheets, leaving ½” between each meatball.
Bake for 20 minutes or until the interior temperature reaches 165 degrees F on an instant-read thermometer. (If you don’t have an instant-read thermometer then just cook until the inside of the meatballs are no longer pink). Let the meatballs cool 5 minutes before serving.
This recipe makes 34 large meatballs.
- Reheating from Frozen Instructions:
- In Sauce: If you’re using them for spaghetti and meatballs, then let them simmer in the pasta sauce for 10 minutes, or until warmed through.
- In Oven: Place meatballs on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees F until heated through about 10 minutes.
- Microwave: Place 10 meatballs on a microwave-safe plate and cook on HIGH for 2 minutes. You may need to add additional time depending on your microwave.
