- 4 Tablespoons butter
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
- 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
CHOCOLATE COATING:
- 2 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 ½ Tablespoons Crisco
Line a baking sheet with wax paper.
Add butter to a medium microwave-safe bowl and microwave until melted. Whisk in peanut butter until smooth.
Add the powdered sugar and stir until smooth. If it’s too difficult to stir, then microwave for 30 seconds.
Add in Rice Krispies and stir until combined.
Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet. Chill balls in the freezer for 45 minutes or in the refrigerator for 1 ½ hours. Set the wax paper-lined baking sheet aside because you will need in later.
Place the chocolate chips and Crisco in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at 50% power for 1 minute. Stir and then microwave for 30 seconds, and then stir. Repeat until melted and smooth.
Rest a frozen peanut butter ball on top of a fork and dip the peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate. Spoon chocolate over the top of the ball until covered. Use the edge of the bowl to wipe off the excess chocolate from the fork.
Lay the dipped peanut butter ball onto the wax paper-lined baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining peanut butter balls and chocolate. Chill the balls in the freezer for 15 minutes or refrigerator for 30 minutes.
