- 3 oz. box strawberry flavored Jello
- ⅔ cup boiling water
- 1 cup icy cold water
- 8 oz Cool Whip thawed
- 1 9-inch pre-made graham cracker pie crust
TOPPINGS (both optional):
- Cool Whip
- Strawberry slices
MAKE PIE:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together strawberry Jello and boiling water until the Jello is fully dissolved.
Next, whisk the ice-cold water into the Jello mixture.
Pour ¼ cup of the Jello mixture into the bottom of your prepared 9-inch graham cracker pie crust and chill for 30 minutes.
While you wait for the Jello to chill, stir the Cool Whip into the remaining Jello mixture until fully incorporated. You don’t want to wait to do this because the Jello will set up.
Smooth the filling on top of the strawberry Jello layer.
Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least 6-8 hours or overnight.
- Store the strawberry pie in an airtight container for 2-3 days in the refrigerator.
- Cover the pie and freeze it for up to 2 months in the freezer.
To defrost, leave in the fridge for 8 hours or overnight.
- Substitute the pre-made pie crust with your favorite homemade graham cracker crust recipe.
