Jalapeno Dip with Cream Cheese

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 2 Tablespoon mayonnaise
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese divided
  • 2 medium-sized jalapenos diced and divided (about ½ cup)

  • Crackers

Instructions

PREP OVEN:

  • Move the oven rack to the middle position and preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

MAKE DIP:

  • In a medium-sized bowl, beat cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, and shredded cheese, reserving 2-3 tablespoons of shredded cheese for the top.
  • Mix in jalapenos with a spoon, reserving 1 tablespoon for the top.
  • Spread the dip into a 2-quart baking dish
  • Top with extra shredded cheese and jalapenos.

BAKE DIP:

  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the sides of the dip start to bubble.
  • Then switch to broil for 1-2 minutes to brown the top slightly.

SERVE:

  • Serve the dip with crackers.

Notes

De-rib and seed jalapenos before cutting them. The seeds will add to the heat level. Always wash your hands after cutting hot peppers.
