Cheesy Sausage Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 pound breakfast or hot pork sausage
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 Tablespoon taco seasoning
  • 10 ounce can Rotel with jalapenos if not jalapenos, then chiles, drained
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 2 cup shredded cheddar

FOR SERVING:

  • Bag of tortilla chips

Instructions

  • Preheat a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Add sausage and break the meat apart with the back of a wooden spoon. Cook until browned, and then drain off fat.
  • While the sausage cooks, add cornstarch to a small bowl with 2 Tablespoons of milk. Use a fork to mix together and set aside.
  • Add taco seasoning, drained Rotel, cream cheese, cheddar, milk, and cornstarch mixture and stir until the cheese is melted and everything is combined about 2-4 minutes.
  • Pour dip into a serving bowl and serve with tortilla chips.

Notes

Instead of breakfast or hot pork sausage, you can use ground Italian sausage or ground beef.
