Chocolate Chip Waffles

These homemade waffles can be enjoyed for breakfast, brunch, dessert (with a scoop of ice cream), or a sweet snack. This versatility makes them perfect for various occasions and cravings.



– 2 cups of all-purpose flour sifted – 2 ½ teaspoons of baking powder – ¼ teaspoon of salt – 3 eggs – 3 Tablespoons of sugar – 2 cups of milk – 5 Tablespoons of melted butter – 1 teaspoon of vanilla – 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips



Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.

Whisk sugar and egg yolks together in a stand mixer with a whisk attachment. Blend in milk, butter, and vanilla.

Mix the dry ingredients with the egg yolk mixture until just combined.



Transfer the batter to a large bowl. Clean the bowl and whisk egg whites on high speed until stiff peaks form (1-2 minutes).

Gently fold egg whites into the batter.

Fold in chocolate chips. Avoid overmixing.



Pour 1 cup of batter into your preheated waffle iron and close it.

Cook for 2-3 minutes per waffle, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
