Crockpot Creamy Tortellini Soup
For a simple, homemade, comfort meal, this Slow Cooker Creamy Tortellini Soup is your new best friend. This is a warm, hearty, and cozy soup. It is a favorite of ours that can feed the whole family.
The cheesy tortellini combined with the bacon, chicken, and a thick and creamy soup texture is just the kind of meal you want to come home to. Because it is made in the slow cooker, there is very little prep work before you can set it and forget it.
There is no need to create a roux for this soup to achieve a thick and creamy texture. The soup will thicken and create a creamy texture during the cooking process from the combination of ingredients in the soup. As another bonus, our recipe does not call for heavy cream, so it has a lower calorie content without sacrificing the taste.

RECIPE FAQs
We love having leftovers of this soup to enjoy the next day for lunch! Of course, we prefer to reheat it over low heat on the stovetop, but we all know life happens, and we may not always have time for this. Alternatively, you can reheat a bowl of soup in the microwave in one-minute increments until it is heated through.
Soup, salad, and bread are the perfect combo. We enjoy making our Caesar Salad and Garlic Bread to go along with this soup.

We like to buy our bacon in bulk at Costco. Then, we keep it in the freezer to pull out for recipes like this soup, our Tater Tot Breakfast Casserole, our Crockpot Crack Chicken, and our Vanilla Candied Bacon. We have found it to be much more cost-effective this way!

Hello,
This recipe sounds wonderful! I just have a couple of questions:
how can I reduce the recipe to serve two
if I’m using dry package tortellini how long should I cook after adding
Thank-you
Paula

Hi Paula, when you are looking at the recipe card, you can change the servings from 6 down to two and it will then adjust the recipe ingredients to tell you what you need for two servings. We have not tested this recipe with dry tortellini but think you would put them in at the beginning and cook for the entire time; just keep an eye on it to ensure they do not cook too quickly. Let us know how it goes!
