Instructions
- First, prep the ribs by rubbing the dry rub into the ribs and then pouring apple juice and apple cider vinegar over the ribs.
- Let the ribs chill for 30-60 minutes in the fridge.
- Next, make the BBQ sauce in a small bowl.
- Add the wire trivet to the Instant Pot and pour the beef stock into the pot.
- Place the ribs in the Instant Pot and pour the BBQ sauce over them.
- Place the lid on the pot, seal it, and set to cook on high for 40 minutes.
- Finally, let the pressure release from the Instant Pot before opening the lid and removing the ribs to serve.

This usually means the ribs did not cook long enough. If they are cooked on high heat too quickly, they do not have time to get tender and soft. This is why cooking them in the Instant Pot is so great. Set it for 40 minutes, and the steam helps tenderize the meat as it cooks.

Get Kids Involved

RIBS:

PREP RIBS:
- In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground ginger, salt, and pepper.
- Add ribs to a large bowl and sprinkle with spices. Rub the spices into the ribs.
- Pour apple juice and apple cider vinegar over the ribs.
- Cover and chill for 30-60 minutes.
MAKE BBQ SAUCE & PREP INSTANT POT:
- While ribs are chilling, whisk the ingredients for the BBQ sauce in a small bowl.
- Add the wire trivet to the Instant pot, and pour beef stock into the bottom of the Instant Pot.
COOK RIBS:
- Place the ribs in the Instant Pot and discard the marinade.
- Pour BBQ sauce over ribs and place lid on Instant Pot and seal.
- Pressure Cook on High for 40 minutes followed by a Natural release of 15 minutes, and then manually release the remaining pressure.
SERVE:
- Remove ribs from the Instant Pot.
- Serve with more BBQ sauce if desired.
