Recipe FAQ’s
Place pork chops on the hottest part of the grill and cook, uncovered, for 5-6 minutes. Turn pork chops and cook until browned on the second side, about 5-6 minutes longer, or until the pork registers 140 degrees F on an instant-read thermometer.
The not-so-secret-secret is in the marinade. Do not skip this step. Let the pork chops sit in the marinade for 1-4 hours. The grill’s high heat will then seal in the juices, resulting in juicy, tender meat that is the opposite of dry!
The inside of the pork chops should be just slightly pink when they are done. The safest way to tell if they are done is to use an instant-read thermometer to check the internal temperature, which should be 140 degrees F.
First, smell the uncooked pork chops. If there’s a foul or sour smell, then it’s best to not sure them. If the pork chops are pale in color or if they have a slimy exterior, then they are probably bad.

Ages 4-5: Let your child help measure and pour in the ingredients for the marinade. They can then whisk the ingredients together.
Ages 6-8: Your child can make the easy marinade on their own and pour it over the pork into a Ziplock bag to marinate for 1-4 hours.
